The Great, Good Places:

Hangouts at the

Heart of a Community

Architecture and planning are key to any great community. 

We seek out busy pathways that many people traverse on a daily basis in their journey between home and work.  Then we find public and semi-public places visible from the path help to convert the virtual (web) to the physical.

The seed:  a new way to use Wi-Fi

Users cannot predict how they may use a new technology.  It evolves.  Our job is to nurture it and  help it grow:  allow the community ~  the host businesses and patrons ~ to grow it naturally, and then we shape the system design based on their chosen uses.

build from what exists.

a comfortable "third place"

a  space between home and work with familiar & comfortable places and faces.

New technology can alienate us or bring us together in discovery.  Respecting the context of the local community, we use the technology in a way that forms another sense of community, and provides a local support system.

These are our root beliefs in how Wi-Fi can benefit a community.
